with Philla Barkhorn
$150
Six Mondays | 1:30-3:30 | March 16-April 20 | Matierials List | Class Fee $150
In this six week academic class, students will work either from life or from a photo to learn the fundamentals of measuring, seeing tilts and shapes essential for realistic drawing. Participants will develop an understanding of value and how it is used to turn form and show volume. Beginning students will work on multiple drawings as they delve into the intricacies of shape, value and edges. Advanced students may work on one piece for multiple sessions. While no prior experience is necessary, this is a challenging course which will call upon one’s persistence and patience.
