Pastel Impressionism with Gina Torello

Mondays: October 26 – December 7 no class 11/23 |10:00am -12:30pm| 6 week 2 ½  hour class  $140.00 session                                                                           

Explore the forgiving and simple media of soft pastels. References will be provided varying in subject matter and style. Working together as a class in a step by step manner you discover how a professional artist begins, creates and finishes a work of art. This method of teaching gives you confidence and allows you freedom to develop your own style. Color theory, application methods and diverse techniques are used to teach you use of texture and dimension in your paintings. Every session you can always count on new and exciting references that I will teach from. All levels are always welcome. A supply list is below.

- Faber-Castell soft pastel set-assorted colors half stick set of 72  

- UArt Premium sanded pastel paper with glassine pad 600 grade neutral color 

- or Pastel Premiere sanded pastel paper neutral color

- Stabilo Carbothello Pastel Pencil set of 24 or larger

- Sofft Pastel Knife w/ cover

- Artist Tape

- Artist board to tape pastel paper on 

- Paper Towels

- Wet ones

-Pencil Sharpener

-Kneaded Eraser

- small container of rubbing alcohol with a flat nylon brush
