Explore the forgiving and simple media of soft pastels. References will be provided varying in subject matter and style. Working together as a class in a step by step manner you discover how a professional artist begins, creates and finishes a work of art. This method of teaching gives you confidence and allows you freedom to develop your own style. Color theory, application methods and diverse techniques are used to teach you use of texture and dimension in your paintings. All levels are always welcome. - Faber-Castell soft pastel set-assorted colors half stick set of 72  or an Upgrade Pastel Set would be Rembrandt 60 half stick assorted or a Unison pastel set.

- UArt Premium sanded pastel paper pad 600 grade neutral color or Pastelmat Pad White No 3 7.125"x 9.5

- Stabilo CarbOthello Pastel Pencil set of 24 or pencils of choice

- Paper Towels

Tap into your creativity in this relaxed and fun basic drawing class. Each class will have step-by-step instructions on how to draw from a provided reference. We will also explore various mediums, including pencils, pastels and watercolor. Students of all levels will enjoy an inspiring, judgment-free atmosphere while receiving guidance and encouragement to enhance your skills.
